GoPro Mounting Systems
IT'S ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE...
The mounting systems of GoPro cameras are what make them so unique and versatile. Below are some of the most important mounts.
The 3-Way Mount- $69.99This mount is a three for one accessory that allows the user to film in a variety of ways.
Chesty- $39.99The benefit of this mount is it allows hands free filming. Simply strap the harness on, screw in the GoPro to the mount, and start filming. Best suited for activities where hands are required, yet a vital part of the action. (Think kayaking, jetskiing, motocross) One of the best assets of this mount is it allows the viewer to see the controls while giving them a first person perspective. This makes the viewer really feel like they are in the action.
There are alternatives to this mount that can be found from $10-$50. |
Jaws: Flex Clamp- $49.99The Jaws mount may be the most useful mount on the market. It gets it's functionality from the clamp, which will bite down on just about anything under 2 inches in diameter. The goose neck and the clamp can be separated from each other, allowing a versatile mount. Handlebars, metal railing, skateboards, trees are just a few things that this mount is capable of clamping down on, allowing many angles of shots.
Curved and Flat Adhesive Mounts- $19.99Must haves for extreme sport athletes. These mounts have 3mm double-sided tape, allowing them to stick to anything. (And trust me, they stick!). The curved mount is made to fit the outside of a helmet, while the flat mount sticks to more level surfaces. They retain their stickiness, so when your ready to move your camera, simply peel up the mount and re-stick.
